Cabañas Balcon del Lago are local family-runned cabins near Otavalo, Ecuador at the base of San Rafael Lake and Imbabura Volcano. They focus on sharing their culture with guests and pride themselves in their sustainable practices and self-constructed cabins. 

My project with Cabañas del Lago came about through volunteer work. They were seeking mass creation of content to use on their social media over time to support their marketing plan. I promised them reels and photographs, as much as I could reasonably produce within my two week stay. Pleased with my initial work, they spread the word about me to neighboring, local tourism businesses within the small town. As a sign of good faith and a desire to support the local economies of where I travel, I extended my volunteer services to the additional business, pumping out as much content as possible for their use and providing digital marketing consultation.
